We are very close to resolving these and hope to resume a full service very, very soon, and bring you up to speed with our growing news backlog. Thanks for your understanding.

Martyn Joseph, Steve Knightley (Show of Hands) and Tom Robinson are getting ready to head out on their "Faith, Folk and Anarchy" tour which will be visiting venues across the UK through February. The concept of the tour was born during Martyn and Tom's Greenbelt slot in 2000 and has since developed to encompass an album (released very soon) and this tour. Check out our gig guide for tour dates. Martyn is also hoping to have a second live album released very soon, bringing his live catalogue up to date with recordings taken from shows over the last couple of years.

Seems we fell a little behind on our Booley news. After a number of delays the band released a second album titled Garcon Pamplemousse under the name Benzine Headset before calling it a day recently to pursue other interests. Peter Wilson, the mainstay and singer/songwriter with the band, looks set to start a solo career.

Scottish indie-rockers Aieris are currently involved in distribution negotiations for their Sophomore EP. Coastal Dune are gearing up for the release of their new EP Survive. The band completed recording of the five tracks a couple of weeks ago and are said to be very pleased with it and looking forward to releasing it on February 11th at Water Rats in London, though the official release party will be in Nottingham on February 19th. A spokesperson for the band described it as having a "more rocky, experimental edge than the previous recordings". The band's website has been redesigned to tie in with the release.

So you may well have noticed that the news has been updated a little recently and wondered if that means the technology problems are now behind us. Well, hopefully, they are. The update scripts aren't working quite as they should but they're operating and we've installed a backup database option which will hopefully solve those annoying "too many connection" errors [though if the backup is in place, the most recent updates may be briefly unavailable]. We've also taken some time to upgrade our discussion boards. There's still an update backlog which we hope to get caught up on soon, but for most things it seems we're back to usual operations. Thanks for bearing with us during the downtime. James.

Cathy Burton's highly anticipated solo album Burn Out is to be distributed by Fierce Distribution, the new distribution arm of Delirious' Furious? Records operation. The album is to be released some time between March 23rd and 25th in the UK. Cathy last night played two sets at the Kashmir Klub in London, including one through a drum monitor which was the only amplification available after a power cut. She will be appearing at Spring Harvest. Fierce Distribution continue to build their roster, with plans to release the new album by American act All Star United at the same time as Cathy's album appears and negotiations under way with other acts including Superhero.
