Mal Pope has just launched e-commerce facilities from www.mphrecords.co.uk -- the first new release through the site will be his new Christmas recording. Steve Lawson is hoping to do a short tour of California early next year. Iain Archer has put his album release plans on hold for the time being. Cephas plan to turn their gig on the 14th December into a bit of a Christmas party, with free food for all. They plan to release a new CD in April.

deeperwiderhigher Residency (29th Nov)

deeperwiderhigher have secured a residency at the RSVP Bar in Sheffield which will see them playing six gigs at the venue over the next few months. The band are currently on the lookout for some new members and ask anyone interested in playing "smoothurbanjazzfunkfusion" in an evangelistic setting to get in touch with them.

Like a lot of other bands listed at Britlinks, Delirious? are in the studio working on their next album. The band's fifthstudio album is due mid-way through next year and is to bepreceded by a single in the spring. The band haven't announced any title yet, but are trying to keep their website up to date with photos from the studio.

Dum Dums' New Single (05th Dec)

The Dum Dums haveannounced that the next single from their It Goes WithoutSaying album will be the song "Army of Two" and willrelease on January 22nd. The band are currently recording avideo for the single with director Simon Hilton. Lowfingerwill be the support act on the band's Christmas tour, withsome unsigned bands joining the bill as the tour goes on.

Busy Month for Tribe (05th Dec)

The World Wide Message Tribe have a busy few weeks coming up. Tonight they have a city-wide gig and have sent invites to all the schools in Manchester. For the rest of the week the group will be in Belfast at another schools event which will also feature Graham Kendrick and former WWMT member Deronda K Lewis. After that they're off to Azerbaijan with Operation Christmas Child before returning for the Christmas Planet Life with Phatfish and Cameron Dante.

Tidbits (05th Dec)

IndigoEcho, Nervous Passenger, Superhero and Aieris have been receiving a lot of publicity in the build up to their gig at King Tuts tomorrow night, including a listing on the Radio One website. Reality are taking a break from gigging during January and February due to exams but hope to be back on the road soon, possibly with a CD EP. Catherine Francis has appeared a couple of times recently at the Unplugged and Intimate night in Bracknell organised by former Beehive manager Hadyn Wood.

Honey Thieves' New EP (05th Dec)

The Honey Thieves are planning to release a new EP next month. The EP has a working title of Blue Eyed World. They're currently filling out their new website. The band's drummer Andy Chittick has recently been in touch to let us know about the Acoustic Cafe, an event he's running in Scotland to provide a venue for adults to come and listen to music in a relaxed atmosphere.

Kato and Toploader Producer (06th Dec)

Kato are going into the studio on Friday to start work on their next album, due for release at Spring Harvest this year. The album will be released by ICC records on a new imprint and the deal is, according to the band, the biggest the label have ever negotiated with a band. The album will be produced by Dave Lynch, known most recently for his work with Toploader. The band say that live favourite "Die for you" will be on the album, complete with a "soaring string arrangement" setting the tone for the rest of the tracks. In other news, Kato's track "Superhero" from the US release of their Seasider album has reached the top ten of New York's NUSOUND radio station.

Coaster's New Member (06th Dec)

Coaster have a newkeyboard player named Alan Cooper and have recentlycompleted a four track demo which they're hoping to use todevelop record label interest. Only 50 copies of the EP arebeing produced, so if you're a promoter or record labelemployee interested in a copy you'll need to get in touchwith them quickly.

Sabio Added to Dum Dums Bill (06th Dec)

After a prolonged silence, Sabio (formerly Fruit) have just announced that they've been added to the bill of the Dum Dums show in Bristol on December 9th. Sabio have been busy playing showcases in their quest for a major label deal. The band will also be playing a gig at the Barfly in Camden next month.
