The highly anticipated Martyn Joseph best of is to be titled Thunder and Rainbows: The Best We Could Find 1988-200. The collection comprises 33 songs spread across two CDs, two of which are new tracks: "This Is Us" and "Thunder and Rainbows". The latter is tipped to do well at radio in the build-up to the album's retail launch in January. The album will be available from December through Martyn's website and at shows on his forthcoming UK tour.

Electromeo is the title of a new EP from the US-based Vigilantes of Love. Of the four tracks, two were recorded in the band's native Athens, GA, while another two were recorded in the UK and include Iain Archer on acoustic guitar and lap steel.

As her management continue to negotiate with a number of major labels, Caroline Alexander has signed a deal with Amanda Williams, who currently handles PR for The Bloodhound Gang and who has also worked with Alanis Morrisette and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Amanda will be taking over all Caroline's PR from the start of the new year. Caroline is still in the studio demoing new material for BMG.

Mal Pope is to release an internet-only Christmas CD. Tim Sherrington recently visited Premier Radio who interviewed him and ran a review of his latest album. Work has begun on a new Shine MK album which is said to take the girls in a more r+b/dance direction. Paradox (who describe themselves as "holy black sludge metal") are about to release a new demo CD. Stairway are currently working on material for a new album, which they hope to release next year. George Luke has a new World Music show on UCB Europe.

London's Premier Radio are launching a new web and Sky Digital station this weekend. To be called talkgospel.com, the site will feature a mix of gospel music and preachers from the black church community. The station will be available on Sky Digital 949 or through the website.

Nia finishes up her"Fall Tour" in the USA this week where she has beenpromoting her newest release "Secret's Of Life" and isreturning to the UK for a series of Christmasconcerts. Over the next few months she's involved inmissions trips to Armenia, Haiti, Honduras and Belize andwill follow these with a Spring tour in the USA, and more UKconcerts in April/May 2001.

Superhero arepreparing for a big weekend in London next weekend. OnSunday 3rd they'll be playing in Soho at the Asylum Live event, and while inthe city they'll be spending some time in a studio demoingnew material for the record labels who've expressed aninterest in them. The band have just returned from asuccessful trip to Ireland, and will be returning there forSummer Madness.

The Grassrootz Festival is a new initiative from the promoters of the id event in Tunbridge Wells. Scheduled for July 21st next year, the lineup so far includes Phatfish, Cashu, Jube, and the band formerly known as Why?. Mal Pope has just launched e-commerce facilities from www.mphrecords.co.uk -- the first new release through the site will be his new Christmas recording. Steve Lawson is hoping to do a short tour of California early next year. Iain Archer has put his album release plans on hold for the time being. Cephas plan to turn their gig on the 14th December into a bit of a Christmas party, with free food for all. They plan to release a new CD in April.
