Juliet Turner Signs Deal (19th Jun)

Juliet Turner hassigned a deal with East West records which will see thelabel distributing her Burn The Black Suit albumthroughout the UK mainland from September. The label willalso be funding the recording of a follow-up later thisyear. Juliet recently played to a very receptive audience onthe Irish Post stage at the London Fleadh and will beappearing at the Guildford Festival on August 4th.

Delirious - Audio Lessonover? (19th Jun)

It appears that promotional copies of the new Delirious album have begunto circulate. The CDs, marked "NOT FINAL VERSION" are titledAudio Lessonover? and feature thirteen tracks (plus ahidden extra), including recent single "Waiting For TheSummer". Our source said that the band "are unlikely to winnew fans with the album - not because it's no good, butbecause it's no radical departure from anything they've donebefore - a kind of 'Mezzamorphis/Glo' hybrid." The band haveyet to confirm details of the album launch.

Iona Cancel US Show (23rd Jun)

Iona have had to pull out ofthe stateside Cornerstone festival as a result of JoanneHogg's pregnancy. The band will still be playing atGreenbelt and will then begin work on a new album. They areconsidering the possibility of a US tour in 2003 but haverecently been dropped by their US distributors Forefront.

The Grassrootz Festival has had to move venue once again asa result of the recent Foot and Mouth epidemic but willdefinitely be going ahead on Saturday July 21st and MabledonFarm in Tonbridge. The festival organisers will be appearingon the digital TV "God Channel" on Wednesday night to talkabout the event.
