Tollbooth Prepare Releases (16th May)

Tollbooth Music, who brought us last year's Helen Turner album are preparing a number of new releases for the coming months. Postcards From Aunt Cordelia, the long awaited solo album from studio owner Paul Davies is due to see the light at Greenbelt this year, with a new Eve And The Garden album, a solo album from EATG frontwoman Alison Eve and a dance/ambient album called Enygmata due to see the light later in 2001. The Eve and the Garden album is said to have a laid back folk-roots feel which has taken the band by surprise. The core band members, Alison Eve, Paul Cudby and Paul Davies will also be working together on Alison Eve's solo album which they describe as "very studio, very big sound".

Secret Archives Prophesy (16th May)

Secret Archives of the Vatican have revealed that their next album will be called 400 Prophets and that they hope to have it out later this year. This will follow Reformation which has gained the duo a lot of attention and is currently on sale through amazon.co.uk and amazon.com. Secret Archives continue to do well on besonic.com, having been included on a couple of compilation albums recently and are also keeping busy with lots of remix work, most recently for Systematic.

Caroline Alexander in Japan and on TV (19th May)

Caroline Alexander will be appearing on the new Sky Digital entertainment channel 461's "Where its at TV" on Tuesday performing two songs unplugged. The next day she'll be flying to Japan for talks with two more record labels. She's just signed a worldwide publishing deal with Devman-BMG in Germany and is considering European and American deals for her debut studio album which is slated for release in January 2002.

Martyn Joseph Heads Back to Canada (20th May)

Martyn Joseph will be returning to Canada once again this summer to play at various festivals including the Vancouver and Calgary folk festivals. He's just finished taking part in the Christian Aid "World of Difference" tour with Stewart Henderson (whose poetry books are now available through Martyn's website) and Martin Nicholls. Martyn's recent best-of release, Thunder and Rainbows received a four star review in Q magazine.

Coastal Dune Move South (22nd May)

Coastal Dune have confirmed that they're planning to stay full-time for at least another year and will remain as a five piece after the departure of guitarist Jon. The band will be relocating to Nottingham in order to be able to tour the country more easily. They will be appearing on the Alpha Zone on June 10th and have recently filmed a video for the song 'contagious' which is on recent indie of the month BlueGreen which will be used for promotional purposes.

Delirious on TV (23rd May)

Delirious? have confirmed some more TV appearances and were due to be featured on Children's BBC this afternoon. They will be appearing on Scottish TV on Friday and Live and Kicking on Saturday morning. There's no indication yet as to whether there will be any more TV appearances before the single launch on June 4th.

Tidbits (23rd May)

Cathy Burton (former Blueberry vocalist) is going into the studio next week to record a solo album which she hopes to release in July. Iain Archer has just completed touring as part of Snow Patrol supporting Ash. BottleRockit have also just started recording an album which will be produced by Matt Hay (Babybird, Robbie Williams, Feeder) and which will feature their new bass player Mark Bowater (son of worship leader Chris).
