The Critical Mass is the name of a brand new festival ofurban art and spirituality based around St. Luke's Church inHolloway (former home of Greenbelt). The programme runs from2pm on Good Friday through to 9.30pm on Easter Sunday nightand includes musical performances from Steve Lawson,Whelk, Harry Napier, Dave Perry and various DJs. IndigoEcho have been getting some mainstream radio and TV coverage with their album One being played on Edinburgh's main local radio station and a performance due to appear on a new Scottish TV programme called 'eikon'. The latter will also feature Superhero and the 'Future' event, which takes place every other month at King Tuts in Glasgow, as part of a focus on Christian music in Scotland.

Tipsheet, a music industry newsletter, has recently named Juliet Turner's Burn The Black Suit its record of the week in advance of the release of the album and a single to the UK market. The album has already gone platinum in Ireland and will be released to coincide with her UK tour supporting Roger McGuinn.

Billing itself as "the new home of Britain's alternative Christian music", ICC's new Elevation label have announced plans for a showcase event at Gloucester Guildhall in July featuring Kato, BottleRockit and Psalmistry. Kato's Welcome To My World has been selling well at Spring Harvest and BottleRockit's new single, See You In Space Tonight single has just released as a taster for the album due later in the year. Kato and BottleRockit will be supporting All Star United in London in May and are both booked for this year's Greenbelt festival.

The Maddy Leigh Blues Band are about to begin pre-production for their debut album which will be recorded early next year. The band are in talks with Michael Bloodgood (of stadium rockers Bloodgood) who they hope will fly in from Seattle to produce the album before mixing it in the USA. The album will be released by Meltdown Music.

Formula 7 have been busy over the past few months playing support slots for Supervision, Audacity and a number of other bands. They plan to record a live CD taken from recordings of these shows as well as looking at the possibility of starting work on a new studio recording. They also have a newly revised website awaiting visitors.

Kato took some time out of their Spring Harvest tour to appear on ITV's Sunday Morning last weekend. They're currently promoting their Welcome To My World album. Superhero will be appearing on TV twice during May, on the Alpha Zone (Channel 5) on the 6th and on Eikon (ITV) on the 20th. Superhero have been recording more demos recently and are currently pushing them to record companies. IndigoEcho will appear on Eikon this Sunday.

BottleRockit have just relaunched their website. Mark Stoney has just released his debut album Amber. Tim Sherrington's Undone album is to be released by Kingsway on the 23rd May. B@sic are about to enter the studio to start work on their debut album which they hope to release this summer.
