B@SiC are a four-piece rock band, based in the East Midlands, consisting of Damian Broderick (drums), Phil Kinsman (guitar), Rob Oag (vocals and guitar) and Andy Warren (bass). B@SiC was formed in the summer of 1997, and have been promoting themselves in various pubs and clubs in the Nottingham, Derby, and Leicester area. They play a variety of covers by bands such as The Wannadies, The Kinks, The Beatles, T-Rex, Oasis, REM, Gomez, The Eels, Blur, Ash, The Velvet Underground and Delirious. B@sic also play their own material and currently have around 20 of their own songs, with dozens of others which are in progress or currently being written. The band say they'd like an opportunity to play in a context like Greenbelt where the arts are seen as an expression of life and faith and liked a description of their music as a cross between the Stone Roses and the Monkees.
B@sic have recently released their latest EP, Signs of Life. This follow-up to www.ep.com contains four brand new tracks. Audio clips and more information are available at the band's website. The band have also recently appeared on the vitaminic website and been very positively reviewed in new magazine "Unsigned Showcase".
