Tim Sherrington informs us that Kingsway Music have picked up his Undone album for international distribution. In preparation for the release, slated for May, the album is being remixed with Bruce Pont once again at the helm, and will probably feature a new running order and artwork.

An all new website is now up for The Tribe. It's flash-based, takes a while to download and seems to have a few bugs at the moment but maybe you'll have more success loading it. Alliance Music are planning a new compilation of World Wide Message Tribe tunes, focussing on their more laid back numbers. The album, called Chilled is due for release next month. The Innervation Trust will begin operations on February 1st, and the work of Shine and V-Enna will fall under that banner.

Among the crowds trying to reach Madonna when she arrived in Scotland for her wedding last month were IndigoEcho, eager to get a copy of their CD to her. The band say they used their "inside knowledge of the Dornoch area" to get a copy of their album One to the "exact place she was staying". They hope she enjoys it.

Superhero have had to postpone their trip to the USA, planned for later this month. Instead the band hope to arrive stateside some time during the summer. They've also experienced delays in the release of two new tracks which were to be available through their website and on a limited edition CD, but hope to have them available very soon.

The Stud-U-Likes are changing their name, but as yet haven't announced what the new one will be. Their drummer, James, is now president of the TASC students union. They are still planning to release a live album, but may have to delay it until around September.

Caroline Alexander and Coastal Dune are to appear together at Dingwalls in London in February to launch Caroline's new Live At Dingwalls album to the UK press. The album's been produced by Dave Lynch (Toploader, r:age, Iain Archer) and tickets go on sale later this month "from the usual agents". Caroline's management are still in negotiations with a number of labels and tell us they hope to be able to disclose some big news very soon. Coastal Dune will also be continuing to promote their BlueGreen album which releases next month.

Justin Thomas, formerly of HOG, has been at Perfect Music recently working with Zarc Porter on new material for The Tribe and Shine. The next Shine album is due out in the Spring and is being produced by Zarc Porter and Todd Collins. It is said to be edgier than their debut, with some garage and r+b influences. Justin Thomas has been appearing with worship act Revive who hope to start work on a follow up to their Beautiful Day album before too long.

Coastal Dune have confirmed that their new album BlueGreen will be released on February 5th. The eleven track album will be available through the band's website and a number of shops across the UK. The band will be touring extensively over the next few months and are also revamping their website to celebrate the album launch.

Scottish rockers Aieris have a new live demo available to interested promoters, the demo contains six songs, all but one of which are new. The band have a few more gigs lined up before entering the studio again within the next couple of months to get working on their next release.

Rendered have been fortunate enough to be offered free studio time at Wired Studios in Reading after the resident producer "took a real shine" to the band. The band are using the time to put together a six track EP, on which they are currently taking pre-orders and are also preparing for a number of gigs, including one at Reading University in February.

Steve Lawson headed stateside a couple of days ago to begin his tour of California. As well as demonstrating for a couple of companies at the NAMM show, Steve's going to be playing a number of solo shows across the state as well as headling what is described as the world's first "solo bass looping festival" in Santa Cruz. Fire Fly have nearly completed construction of their own studio, which they plan to use for the recording of the debut full-length release. The studio will be up-and-running this week and they hope to add a little more gear ready to start recording in mid-February. The band are off to Holland next week to do some gigs, building on their success on mainstream radio there which saw them charting highly on at least one station. The band say that European distribution and a tour this summer look very likely.

Congratulations to Jon (Delirious?) and Kristen Thatcher who have just become parents. Their baby girl is temporarily named 'Kid A' until a more enduring name is chosen. The Dum Dums have had to push back the release of their Army of Two single till the 5th February. Check out the gig guide for revised in-store dates. The Jonah website is currently undergoing a redesign and will relaunch on February 1st with a new look and feel.

Mal Pope is currently working on a new series for HTV Wales. The show is called Zac's Place (presumably connected with the church-pub group of the same name) and will be filmed in Swansea. Guests are to include the Ragamuffin Band (USA), Martyn Joseph, author Adrian Plass, poet Stewart Henderson and the Archbishop of Wales, Rowan Williams. Mal and band recently appeared at the wedding of former superstar choirboy, Aled Jones.

Skinflowers have abandoned work on the two EPs they'd hoped to release this year, saying "the tracks ... started to make sense in a traditional album sort of way". As a result, they're working on a second album with the hope of releasing it in September through the same distributors as Date In A Hurry. There are a variety of MP3s of tracks old and new (including some very recent demos) now available on their website.

The Message Trust have recently launched www.messagetrading.co.uk as a one-stop shop for World Wide Message Tribe/The Tribe merchandise and some momentos of the Message 2000 event in Manchester. The Tribe are currently in the studio working on a new album to be titled Take Back The Beat. The album will be out this summer, with a single released some time around Easter. They also hope to make some MP3s available.

The US based "Billboard Bulletin" reports that EMI Christian Music Publishing is buying a 50% stake in Kingsway Music's "Thankyou Music" publishing division, which holds the rights to a large number of the most popular worship songs of recent years. The deal also sees Kingsway taking over European distribution for a number of EMI's "Christian music" labels including EMI Gospel, Forefront and Sparrow which were previously distributed by Alliance.
