Ripcord, an evangelistic band who play mainly to students, are currently looking for a full time sound engineer to join them for at least a year. The band have a full schedule lined up for the coming months, kicking off on October 8th at Bristol University and taking them as far afield as Latvia and Slovakia.

Get Real! have made their way into the semi final of a battle of the bands in Manchester. The next heat will pit them against 5 other bands in a contest judged by a panel including ex-Oasis drummer Tony McCarrol and the scores will be based half on the judges' decisions and half on audience reaction. If you want to go along, the gig is on the 21st September at the Levenshulme Nightclub in Manchester. Contact the band for more details.

Organisers of the Creation 2000 festival planned to take place near Edinburgh in October this year with a lineup which was to include Booley, As If... and Crucifer have had to postpone the event due to problems raising sponsorship. The production team are said to be "disappointed but still committed" to the event which is now expected to run on March 31st next year, presumably under an amended name.

Splat have just completed work on their debut CD and have made details and clips available through US-based online distributors Broken Records. The CD will be available at RAF Lakenheath where the band are based if you have RAF clearance, and also in a number of Christian music outlets in the area.

Mike Peters recently took some time out from his activities with Alarm 2000 to join Children of the Revolution's recording session in Henley-on-Thames. The Rev are planning to release one of Mike's songs as a Christmas single. Alarm 2000 continue to tour extensively and should be heading to North America early next year.

More changes are afoot for the World Wide Message Tribe. Cameron Dante is leaving the tribe to pursue his new venture, Ascension, and Doronda Lewis is also leaving the Tribe to pursue a solo career. Her debut album is currently being recorded with producer Matt Wanstall.

Last month's indie of the month creators Superhero have just unveiled an all new website which features an all new design as well as news, music and video clips and details of the band's online distribution arrangements for their latest album Burn and Dazzle.

Delirious? will put in their second appearance at Germany's Christmas Rock Night this December, the event's 21st anniversary. They'll be joined by fellow Britlinks acts Fono, Psalmistry, BottleRockit and CRN favourites The Electrics. This year will be the first in 15 that Split Level will not play at CRN, but Adrian Thompson will be present to share details of some of his musical plans.
