Universally Booley (19th Jul)

Booley's Bathroom Floor, a former Britlinks indie of the month, is to be released through Universal on September 4th, coinciding with a number of live dates in England and following on from a number of festival appearances planned for the summer. The album, currently available through ICC, is an extended version of the EP of the same name which first appeared around a year ago.

Abundant Summer Ball (19th Jul)

The Abundant club is holding its summer ball this Saturday in Ladbroke Grove. The event coincides with a weekend of action by the Jubilee 2000 campaign, who are holding an "internet day of action" on Friday as well as various vigils and events over the weekend. Abundant have been asked not to use any indoor fireworks this year, after setting off the alarms on multiple occasions in 1999.

Greenbelt Completes Lineup (21st Jul)

The Greenbelt Festival has completed preparation of its music lineup and a day-by-day breakdown of the key acts is now on the festival's website. Recent additions to the lineup include singer-songwriter Joan Armatrading, keyboards man Rick Wakeman, power-quartet Fono and chart act Belle and Sebastian who will be offering a DJ set.

Fono's First Film (21st Jul)

Fono, who have been busy touring the USA for most of the past year, playing with artists from Audio Adrenaline to the Goo Goo Dolls and Foo Fighters, have just completed their first music video. The video for the song "Alcatraz" was shot during the Audio Adrenaline tour by AA drummer Ben Cissell. The band will be back in the UK to play at Greenbelt this summer.

Psalmistry Delay The Noise (21st Jul)

The new album from Psalmistry has been delayed until August 1st. To be titled All This Noise the album will release through ICC to Christian bookshops in the UK. The group are also a late addition to the Greenbelt bill, and will be one of the first acts on at this year's festival.

New Websites (24th Jul)

BottleRockit have been in touch to inform us that their website has been relaunched with a new look, new sound clips and a variety of other new features. Nervous Passenger have recently had the decorators (us!) in to redesign their website. It's not quite complete, there're a few more MP3s and some new photos still to go up, but I hope you'll agree it's worth a look. Finally, Blueprint are working on their web presence having recently invested in a domain name.

Land on the Radio (25th Jul)

Scottish band Land have updated their website after a long gap. They have been getting plenty of airplay on America's east coast thanks to mainstream radio station WITR and are currently number 2 on their imports chart. They've also recently been played by Don Maclean on Radio 2. The band are playing with Shona MacDonald at the Room 3 Records venue at the Edinburgh festival and will be heading south to play at Greenbelt.

Bell Jar Recording (25th Jul)

Bell Jar are to release the EP follow-up to last year's Secret Volcano at this year's Greenbelt festival. The EP will then be developed in the early autumn into a second album. There will be a discount available on the full album for those who buy the EP. The band have also put a number of live MP3s onto their website, taken from their show at the Borderline with Vigilantes of Love.

Dan Donovan willmake his next impact on the world's CD players this summeras he releases his latest project accompanied by Hex and TheGhears (formerly Disraeli Gears, and still featuring PaulArcher, brother to Iain). The albumwill feature twelve brand new tracks and this new projectwill have its live debut at Greenbelt.

Nameless MP3s (26th Jul)

Nameless Music, home to Tim Sherrington and Big Blue Sky, is rapidly increasing the number of music samples which can be downloaded from its website. The latest track to be added is "Lead Me" from the as yet unnamed worship album the label is to release this autumn. Tim Sherrington is currently discussing a number of distribution options. Look out for a section on MP3 sites which should appear in the advice section of this site soon.
