Furious? Movements (12th Apr)

Jonathan Brown, who currently runs Word UK is moving to Delirious' Furious? Records to help develop the label. A full announcement from Furious? is expected soon and Word are working hard to fill the gap which Jonathan's departure will leave. It looks likely that the label will be expanding its roster over the coming months, although this has yet to be confirmed. We'll bring you more details as they are announced.

Fono Tops Charts (12th Apr)

Fono continue to be well served by the medium of MP3, having recently scored two songs in the top 20 downloads from mp3.com. The band's entries in the chart were both marked with two arrows, which signifies that they're rising fast. Fono recently took a break from touring with Audio Adrenaline to appear at the SXSW music industry convention and are hotly tipped to break through in the US market.

Iain Archer To Hit the Studio (12th Apr)

Iain Archer plans to record his next album before the end of the year and if possible in time to release it at this year's Greenbelt festival. He has been playing recently with The Amazing Pilots, originally a Northern Irish act but now based in Eastbourne.

Trust Surrender ... Ten Years of Praise and Worship is the title of the latest release from Emmaus. The album draws together material from their past five albums along with two new tracks. The band are also about to release Closer Nearer, their latest studio album. The album comes out on April 21st and sees the band exploring some new directions.

Julie Lord recently appeared on the Cross Rhythms cable tv programme where they showed footage of her singing "Everybody Needs Love" from her Lifetime album. Internet radio station Farmfresh Music have playlisted "Even Now" from the same album.

Dan Welberry informs us that When Monday Comes have now parted ways but that he and a group of other musicians (including John Graham, formerly of Beehive) are rehearsing in a big farm house and hope to launch themselves on the world later in the year.

Troy Donockley, Workaholic? (12th Apr)

No sooner had the mastering of the new Iona album been completed than news emerged that Troy Donockley is working on a follow-up to his 1998 solo album, The Unseen Stream. The new album, to be titled The Beautiful Suit is described by Donockley as featuring "lots of full on choir". Not content to stop at that, he has also been featured on Kathryn Tickell's new album Debateable Lands, taking part in what they believe to be the first ever recorded duet between Uillean and Northumbrian pipes.

Take the Money and Run (12th Apr)

Not a summary of some dubious business plan, but rather the lead single from Juliet Turner's second album. The single will surprise anyone who's only familiar with Let's Hear It For Pizza, driven as it is by a strong electric guitar riff. The single has been playlisted in Ireland and will release on April 21st. The album, Burn The Black Suit will follow in mid-June with a launch gig at Vicar's Street in Dublin.

Sibling's website was launched last week and contains a range of information on the band. Urban Militia will be headlining the Louisiana in Bristol on April 21st. They have just updated their website to include 8 live MP3s. I Know You Know the new album by Goldsmiths should finally be released over the Easter weekend. Shona Macdonald has been spending quite a bit of time in the USA recently working with Tony Loeffler. The episode of ITV's London's Burning which was to feature Delirious?'s "Come Like You Promise" has been postponed till April 23rd.
