Delirious? for V2 (10th Feb)

Littlehampton based chunky-pop-rockers delirious? announced recently that they have signed a distribution deal with Richard Branson's V2 label for all non-UK territories. The band are extremely excited by the prospect of working with the label, who have been looking for some time for a flagship UK act. Delirious? will continue to distribute products through their own Furious? Records label inside the UK.

Pope Riding High (10th Feb)

Welsh singer-songwriter Mal Pope is continuing to enjoy success, with a track he sung on from the City Of Gold album sitting at number 18 in the US Adult Contemporary charts, and with an appearance on Songs of Praise scheduled for 21st February. Pope continues to enjoy good press and album sales in the UK after Simon Mayo praised him incessantly one morning on his Radio One show.

Another Baby For Emmaus (10th Feb)

Congratulations to Greg Fromholz of Emmaus and his wife Alex who recently had their first child (a girl). Emmaus have recently started work on their next studio album which they hope to finish soon. 3 songs have been recorded and about 20 more are to be recorded before they narrow down the choice for inclusion. Emmaus are also talking about reissuing some of their early work, which was praise and worship based, on CD later this year to celebrate their tenth anniversary.

Small delirious? Talk (10th Feb)

The latest issue of the delirious? newsletter, Small Talk, arrived in fans' letterboxes recently. The buzz is building for the forthcoming touring and release dates. The next single, See The Star will come on two CDs. The first will feature two mixes of the title track and new song "Follow", while the second will include the title track, a remix of crowd favourite "Obsession", and will be an enhanced CD containing the video for the single in a CD-ROM portion. News continues to come about the album, such as the fact that it features Jon Thatcher's writing debut, and the announcement of the birth of Stew Smith's first child and the imminent arrival of Martin Smith's second.

Brent Bourgeois is in the process of producing a new album for Word Records in the US which is set to feature Amy Grant covering delirious' "Find Me In The River," with the d: boys backing her. The album is also set to feature a duet between Michael W Smith and Jon Anderson from Yes. The album is to be called Streams.

Delirious? in Dove Awards Scandal (10th Feb)

Okay, well that's just because I think that the dove awards are a scandal. Delirious? have been nominated for three of these CCM awards, "Best Group," "Best Song" for "Deeper", and "Best Rock Album" for King Of Fools. They're up against stiff opposition in both categories from established CCM names, but we'll just have to wait and see. The guys recently picked up the award for album of the year in Dallas' first CCM awards ceremony, having been nominated for four awards.

World Without End recently announced that their (formerly) temporary backing singer, Kath Taylor, has become a permanent member of the band. They are excited since this will add flexibility to the lineup and believe that this could be the fulfillment of a number of prayers.
