Yeah, we're late again with Iona news, but it is now official that Mike Haughton has left Iona and will not be replaced. Mike wrote a letter to the fans which can be seen at the Iona website in which he expressed his enjoyment in working with the band but said that the sabbatical year had been a time for reflection for him and he felt the time had come to leave. The space left in the sound will make room for drmmer Frank Van Essen's violin. Iona have been laying down tracks for Joanne Hogg's solo album and for their next studio album, and plans are now well under way for the Festival Hall concert in May.

Okay, well that's just because I think that the dove awards are a scandal. Delirious? have been nominated for three of these CCM awards, "Best Group," "Best Song" for "Deeper", and "Best Rock Album" for King Of Fools. They're up against stiff opposition in both categories from established CCM names, but we'll just have to wait and see. The guys recently picked up the award for album of the year in Dallas' first CCM awards ceremony, having been nominated for four awards.
