The much delayed new album from dance act Psalmistry, Armchair Rebellion, is now recorded and the final production touches are being put to it before the UK release through Word Records. On the European mainland the albu, will be released on the Extreme Devotion label and it will probably have distribution in Australia and South Africa. The album has twelve tracks and will include the single "By Your Side". The group also have live dates coming up including: 23rd January, Planet Life with WWMT; 31st January in Brighton; and 6th February at Sublime in Southampton. Another band with a much anticipated new release on the way is Iona. The band are preparing for a concert with the All Souls Orchestra in May at the Royal Festival Hall in London, a show that will also feature appearances from past Iona members. The concert will mark the ten year anniversary of the ground breaking celtic band and may well be used by the band to debut new material for an album due towards the end of 1999.

Before salivating too much over the new Iona album, fans might like to hear that the band's acclaimed vocalist is indeed planning a solo album for March release, probably on Alliance Music. Rumours have been floating around since late last year that this was the case and they have finally been confirmed. More details, as ever, when we get them.

New Dawn Music have announced a distribution deal to make the new As If... album available in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Slovenia, Finland and the Faroe Islands. This is on top of the existing distribution in Germany and Switzerland.

Delirious? are planning a short tour of smaller venues around the UK for February and March to precede the launch of the first single from their new album. The single is to be released on March 15th and is called "See The Star". The album will follow, probably on April 12th (dependent on continued talks with Virgin Records) and will be followed by a tour of major UK venues in May. See the various delirious? web pages for more details. Martin Smith reportedly describes the new delirious? album, Mezzamorphosis as "very different" while Furious? Records say that it is "bolder, stronger and more intriguing than any before." Tracks include: See The Star, Heaven, Bliss, It's OK, Pale Reflection, Beautiful Sun, Isn't He Beautiful?, Love Come Down and Mezzanine Floor.
