Britlinks Bell Jar

Band Photo

"The bells, the bells .... We first heard them chime in the Autumn of 1998; pure notes to pierce the white noise of junk culture, to rebuke the interference and the static, to tell it how it really wasn't. A call to worship at a different altar. And it wasn't long before their story was being tolled across the country; Bell Jar had caught the groove and were spreading it fast.." Arising from the ashes of Eden Burning have come Bell Jar, who have now released two highly-regarded albums of fine songwriting, infectious grooves, topped by the distinctive soulful voice of Paul Northup. Bell Jar create a sort of Gomez-meets-Elbow vibe when unplugged. Rehearsing in a suburban garage with hardly any amplification, the band will be in their element. Acoustic guitars duel with Wurlitzers for an authentic and original lo-fi sound.
