Britlinks As If...

Band Photo

Buckinghamshire based As If... have been together since 1994, although Phil Goss (guitar/vox/keyboards, Steve Rothwell (bass) and Phil Heard (drums and percussion) have known each other and played in bands together for over 10 years. They have gigged throughout the UK playing churches, outreach events, festivals and clubs. They have also had a couple of visits to Norway. The band have many musical influences including U2, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Queen, Hawkwind, Talk Talk, Sunscreem and Chemical Brothers. The music is a crossover between rock and dance, blending conventional guitar, bass and drums with keyboard and samples to give a characteristically unique sound. The band are passionate about our music and we also have a strong (if at times wierd) sense of humour. They are keen to share what our faith in Jesus means to us but in a sensitive and relevant way. The band is at its best live, with a loud and energetic set designed to engage an audience, have some fun and give a real show. Backing vocals are provided by Nancy Sawyer who is also a solo artist in her own right.
