Steve Stockman and Sam Hill have been collaborating on a new album titled Gracenotes which is to be launched with concerts in Dublin and Belfast in May. The album weaves together Stocki's poetry with Sam Hill's songs and includes instrumental contributions from Mark Edwards (Aztec Camera), Dave Clifton, Neil Costello, Richard Curran, Julie Costello and Mal Pope as well as production work from Phil Baggeley. Stocki says the album has a very meditative vibe and sounds like "David Gray and Bruce Cockburn meet a Presbyterian minister's north Antrim accent and a Lancastrian Scot whose work has always sat somewhere between Leonard Cohen and KD Lang in a Parisian Left Bank cafe". Make of that what you will.
