Coastal Dune have had to bid farewell to guitarist Jonathan who has had to step down from the band due to health reasons. No news is yet available about whether he will be replaced -- we'll let you know as soon as we can.

dba Set Up Sauna (21st Mar)

White labels are currently circulating of the record 'Mirage' by an act called Sauna, which consists of dba and guitarist Robin Boult. It's already attracting lots of radio attention. dba have also been working with Howard Jones on a progressive house version of 'What Is Love?' and with dance act Secret Knowledge on a tribal house/techno record called 'Mojo'. No release dates have yet been announced but it is expected all these records will be released this summer.

Greenbelt Announces Acts (26th Mar)

Greenbelt has announced an initial lineup including chart act the Dum Dums, celtic favourites Iona, Sarah Masen, Switchfoot, Ben Castle, Martyn Joseph, BottleRockit, Kato, Kendall Payne, and Salvation Street. The festival's next lot of publicity is due to begin arriving on doorsteps this week and lots more names as well as big developments for the festival website are promised over the coming months

Bushbaby Emerge (26th Mar)

Bushbaby who emerged a few years back from the ashes of Gethsemane Rose have been in touch to update their contact details and inform us that they're hoping to unveil their new website within the next couple of weeks. The band have been keeping busy so far this year after a quiet 2000. They've made a variety of contacts at some recent showcase gigs and are busy writing new material.

Juliet Turner Releases UK Single (27th Mar)

Following her success in Ireland and to coincide with her UK tour with Roger McGuinn, Juliet Turner is set to release the title track of her second album, Burn The Black Suit as a single to the UK market. The single will be released on May 7th by Hear This through Pinnacle and will include a cover of John Lennon's "Working Class Hero". Juliet was recently nominated for Best Female Artist and Best Newcomer at the IMRA awards (a bit like the Brits in the UK) but sadly didn't win in either category.

Skinflowers in HMV (27th Mar)

Skinflowers have become the latest britlinks-listed act to get distribution through HMV. Their album Data In A Hurry, which was a former indie of the month on this site is now available through HMVs across the UK or through the stores' website. They've recently lined up a string of concerts, including one on Easter Monday which will be webcast live from the Mean Fiddler (formerly LA2) through www.meanfiddlerliveonline.com. More dates are also in the pipeline, including a show in Reading and several in Oxford.

Tribe Take Back The Beat (28th Mar)

The Tribe have completed work on their debut single, "Take Back The Beat". They've set up a special website about the single at www.takebackthebeat.net. The single is being released in anticipation of a full-length album this summer on Alliance.

Dum Dums' New Album (28th Mar)

As well as headling Greenbelt the Dum Dums hope that this year will see the release of their second album. The first release spawned four top 30 hits and with an increasing international profile they hope to surpass that with the followup. The Dum Dums will also be playing at a Unison benefit show in Manchester next month with Toploader, Catatonia, Idlewild and Wheatus.

Tidbits (28th Mar)

Sibling are hoping to record an EP very soon. Cross Rhythms are reporting that River Deep will be releasing a new album, "Someone Like Me" on Word this June. Engage Management are releasing 'Existence', a three track offering from DJ Doug E Ross along with Samuel Ljungkvist and Dave Williams.
