The new album from Sticky Music founder and Lies Damned Lies member SteveButler will be called Love Come Down and releases at Greenbelt. Thelabel is also soon to release a CD entitled I Believe, comprising the best songs from the first twoLate Late Service albums, and a retrospective compilation called Heaven andEarth looking back over the past twenty years of Sticky Music releases. Anew Sticky Music website (with full e-commerce facilities) should launch withinthe next few weeks.

Split Level haveannounced that they are not disbanding, as previous reports suggested, but areinstead taking a year off to consider the band's future and to refresh theirvision for their music. They will not be taking any more bookings for at leasta year after completing all their current engagements. The band are also keento express their appreciation of messages of support and encouragement theyhave received since news came out that changes were afoot.

Leeds act Bodixa have recently been short-listed to the final 16 out of 1000 bands who entered the "Unsigned/Unsealed" competition sponsored by Warner Chappell and the Princes Trust which aims to bring young talent before record label representatives. The band will take their place in the finals at London's Borderline on September 4th. The Leeds-based band have also recently secured a monthly residency at the Lil' Backyard Club in London and are planning a university tour and a short tour of Borders bookshops for later in the year.

Agents of Grace is the title of a new compilation album put together by Tony Cummings of Cross Rhythms to raise money for the people of the Southern Sudan. Artists featured include Secret Archives of the Vatican, Glenn Kaiser, Viola, The Electrics, Catherine Francis and others. The album will cost £7.99, £6.99 of which goes directly to the charity the album is supporting.

Warming up for their slots at the Edinburgh and Greenbelt festivals, IndigoEcho are set to play at the Edinburgh Virgin Megastore. The band will be appearing on both the BT-sponsored Ross Band stage and the Room 3 Records venue at the Edinburgh festival this year. The first solo-bass album from Steve Lawson will be generally available at the beginning of September, with a few early copies expected to appear at Greenbelt. IndigoEcho'sperformance on the World Art stage at the Edinburgh festivalwas broadcast live on the web and also to big screens inLondon's Covent Garden and to New York's Time Square. Theband report that the show went well with over 700 inattendance. Next stop for them is Greenbelt.

Blackpool's Kato havebeen asked to headline a festival in Frauenfeld, near Zurichover the August bank holiday weekend. They're disappointednot to be able to be at Greenbelt but a top slot at thisfestival drew them away. The band are still preparing forthe US release of Seasider which will include fournew tracks.
