Steve Taylor, the producer (Sixpence None The Richer, Newsboys) and solo artist sometimes referred to as the Clown Prince of Christian music, has been working with delirious? recently on a re-recording of their track "Touch" to be included on a forthcoming compilation album to be titled Roaring Lambs. The band are off to the Southern Hemisphere for a quick tour before returning to the UK to promote "It's OK". They are planning to spend the following months recording for their next release, fitting in a few UK dates along the way.

The WorldWide Message Tribe recently announced their long-rumoured but previously unprecedented UK tour. The group will play a number of venues across the UK, and will be supported by an act yet to be announced. The tour, organised for Alliance Music by Cardiff-based Big Ideas, will showcase the album Frantik but is intended to form part of the build up to this summer's Message 2000 event run jointly by The Message and Soul Survivor.

Emmaus are working on abest-ofalbum to encompass tunes from all of their praise and worship basedreleases. There will be an accompanying music book for the album. The bandcontinue to work on an album of all new material, but without Lynne, whohas left the band to spend time on other activities within the community,and Ian has left the band to work with Booley. Emmaus' track "You'reBeautiful" is to be featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming film,Babies written by and starring a friend of the band.

Shine, who were featuredonBBC1 on Boxing Day singing their track "DoIt Right" as part of a special service from Manchester Cathedral, havechanged their name to Shine MK to reflect the location of their schoolswork in Milton Keynes. The group's debut album, Do It Right willrelease on February 29th, with US distribution through Reunion Records.

V'Enna, another artist from the Movation stable, have recently signed aUS deal with Essential Records and hope to release their debut album inthe summer. The group have recently completed their first radio single --a special maxi-single is to be released in the USA at the end of February,including remixes from Zarc Porter, Robbie Bronniman (dba) and ToddCollins.

The news has recently slipped out of a new festival to be organised by Word UK, Alliance Music, STL distribution, Oasis Trust and the Evangelical Alliance. The new festival, to be known as Junction 1 will run on the August Bank Holiday weekend in direct competition with the long-running Greenbelt festival. The organisers are hoping to bring in a range of big-selling US CCM artists to draw the crowds and help them sell more records. Greenbelt has formally requested that the event not go ahead, but the organisers appear to have ignored that, falsely assuming that there is no overlap in the target audience.

Greenbelt recently announced a strong response to its pre-Christmas ticket deals. More youth tickets have been sold already than were sold in total last year and there has been a very positive reception for the special offers from youth groups and other interested parties. The festival's organisers are in negotiations with a number of key musical acts as well as planning a broad program to highlight the best in Christian arts from the UK and abroad.

Hotly tipped worship act yfriday, who are currently on tour with Noel Richards and whose debut album Rainmaker was recently released on Survivor Records will be recording at the MTV studios in March for the channel 5 show the Alpha Zone. The band will record two songs and some interview segments for broadcast later in the year. The band will be leading youth worship at Spring Harvest and Easter People and are already demoing tracks for their second album.

Superhero, who went fulltime only a few months ago, will spend the following months touringextensively across the UK.

Delirious? have beennominated for two Dove Awards: "Rock RecordedSong" for the track Gravity, and "Modern Rock/Alternative Album of theyear" for Mezzamorphis. The video for "It's OK" has been playlistedby MTV Europe. Tribe of Dan were asked tostep in after Bernard Butler had topull out of his scheduled appearance at Ronnie Scott's in Birmingham. Tenth Leper are celebratingthe launch of their new album, ReturnedWith Thanks. SecretArchives of the Vatican have been hard at work studying themusic of myriad cultures as they prepare to release their second CD. Theysay the new album will be "more ethnic, but also dancier" and are planningto invest in some new recording equipment to help them on their way. IndigoEcho have managed toget their new album, One distributedto all the HMV stores in Scotland as well as into their local VirginMegastore. A lot of opportunities seem to be opening up for the band, onthe same Room 3 Records label as Nervous Passenger andSuperhero. 3 Second Memory recentlysupported Dodgy at the Plymouth Pavilion.
