As documented here, Fono have recently been touring the USA with the Goo Goo Dolls. It seems that the weeks on the road have paid off; Bob Scoro, vice president of MP3.com who organised the tour said "This band, Fono, will become major artists in our business, and we wereoverwhelmed with the positive response with them being on the tour."
The band, who have seemed on the verge of a major breakthrough since their 1996 debut as Seven supporting Bon Jovi, will be returning to the USA for a 70 date tour starting on January 15th.

Iona are continuing to work on their next studio album and initial reports are that it will be a departure from what hasgone before. Unfortunately the band will be unable to release the Woven Cord project on video due to royalty demands from the Royal Festival Hall, but they hope to release a biographical video (and possible DVD) next year which will include excerpts from a number of concerts, as well as interviews and thoughts on different songs. The CD version of the Woven Cord project will release in the USA through Forefront on Tuesday February 29th. Troy Donockley continues to tour with Maddy Prior and Iona have already started booking their next UK tour -- Derby Assembly Rooms have a show listed for the 9th March.
