New Deal for Badger (10th Nov)

Northern Ireland based Badger Management have recently signed a deal with the USA's Davdon Artist Agency to exclusively represent them in Europe. Davdon is one of the biggest tour agencies in the AmericanC hristian market, representing artists such as the Supertones and Smalltown Poets as well as the UK's Fono.

Under the new arrangement Badger's Stephen Orr (formerly of Halcyon Days) will run a European office for Davdon and the company hopes to raise European business from its current level at 2% of its turnover to between 5 and 10% within the next year.

Badger Management's Booley is continuing to gig regularly and receive positive reactions, while Fono are currently touring the US with the Goo Goo Dolls and enjoying increasing airplay.

Martin Smith's Throat (10th Nov)

A sore throat has caused the delay of the first half of delirious?'s latest tour. The dates will now be completed closer to the rest of the tour in mid December.

Iain Archer Gigs (10th Nov)

Iain Archer will be playing live a couple of times in the next month. The first show will be with his new band Brew on the 24th November at London's Kashmir Club, and the second will be a solo set along with Bell Jar and Flow at the Half Moon in Putney.

Joseph's Finishing Touches (10th Nov)

The finishing touches have been made and the new Martyn Joseph album,Far From Silent is due for release imminently, with distribution to the Christian marketplace through Alliance Music. Positive press has already been coming in, particularly from Q magazine. Look for extensive coverage of Martyn Joseph coming up at The Phantom Tollbooth

Mal Pope is celebrating the build up to Christmas with a freely downloadable version of his new single "Won't Be Christmas". The single is to be released simultaneously in the UK and the US. Room 3 Showcase (10th Nov)

The Indigoecho album launch at CAS in Edinburgh on December 17th has developed into a showcase for the Room 3 Records roster, as Nervous Passenger and recent signing Superhero join the band as support on the night. The Indigoecho album One will be available directly from Room 3 Records or from Virgin Megastores in Edinburgh from the 18th December.

World Without End have grown once again, with the recent additions of Graham Brown (keyboards/brass) and Mary Downes (vocals/keyboard/saxophone/guitar) taking the band up to a 7 piece. We await with an interest a new recording from this increasingly diverse grouping.

Seems like a lot of people have been giving their websites an overhaul recently. With their album release now only a couple of weeks away, IndigoEcho have had their site reworked, as have the Fabulous Bingo Brothers and the r generation. BritLinks Design is currently working on a new look for the Nervous Passenger site.

Delirious? Announce Okay Singles (24th Nov)

Furious? Records have announced that the next delirious? single, "It's OK," will be released on 2 CDs including the song "Jesus' Blood" from the US release of Mezzamorphis and "Pursuit of Happiness" described in a fan newsletter as "the hilarious 60's song that swings into action accompanied by a hilarious video". Support act for the latest delirious? tour, which kicks off next month is Ruth.

Flow Settles (24th Nov)

Flow are settling into their new lineup well and have several gigs coming up. A recent set at the Monarch in Camden saw them trying out some new material and adding the odd keyboard sound and backing track to their sound. The band have shows in Cheltenham and Oxford this week, and are playing next Tuesday in Putney with Bell Jar and Iain Archer.

New Dawn Music have been busy lately, with Brian Taylor joining the Brit Awards Voting Academy, made up of around 1000 music industry insiders who between them select many of the awardwinners. The label's artists remain busy and albums by Loose Goose, As If... and Julie Lord have recently been picked up for US distribution by Musicforce.com. The label have announced some special offers for Christmas.
