After months of waiting and speculation, delirious? have announced that they will be releasing a second single from Mezzamorphis to the UK mainstream on February 21st next year. The track in question, "It's OK," has proven popular live and the band feel that this time they can get good radio support. The band cancelled the "Gravity" single which was to follow the album launch due to bad responses from radio stations.

Alterna-rock outfit Fono, who are spending the autumn touring the USA with the Goo Goo Dolls, have landed at number 19 in the US alternative rock charts with their single "Collide". The single is not yet available in the UK, and negotiations are still under way as to which label should distribute it. The band have recently moved management companies.

Colorsound, the band formed by Mike Peters of the Alarm and Billy Duffy of the Cult, have released their eponymous debut album this week through 21st Century Recordings. The album has a powerful stadium rock sound, with a touch of 60s influence and an extremely brightly coloured cover! A US release is due early next year.

Tim Eveleigh, manager of Andy Thornton has announced that it is now possible to order copies of Andy's The Things You Never Say by credit card through his website. Said album is currently "European Pick of the Month" at the Phantom Tollbooth.

Delirious? have finally announced dates on their next UK tour, which will culminate on the Monday before Christmas at the Shepherd's Bush Empire. Dates have already appeared on their legion fan websites.

Following the release this week of their live Woven Cord album through Alliance, Iona are preparing to enter The Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire to record their next studio release. A release date is scheduled for March 2000. They will once again be joined by engineer/producer Nigel Palmer.

The music explores themes of hope and justice through stories of Jonny Baker's recent visit to Israel with the Amos Trust. The sound is reported to be "big-beat agit pop".

Plans for a new Split Level EP had to be put on a backburner when vocalist/guitarist Adrian Thompson's father passed away, but the band have a special treat for fans in the form of a live album taken from their set at Germany's Christmas Rock Night last December. Bonus cuts on the album will include the song "Window Shopping" which was recorded for the Greenbelt 25 album, a new song "Every Breath" and possibly an enhanced CD segment containing the video for the track "Healed" (subject to negotiations). The band are taking a break for a while.
